Karen Watson loves her work and does not think there is anything else in the world she would rather do.The Christchurch woman has been named as one of three finalists for the 2016 New Zealand Local Hero of the Year. karen Watson started the Familial Trust to provide support for the family members of addicts in 2001. Karen has personally facilitated over 30,000 one on one counselling sessions and

The Giving Back Award
Cameron started volunteering for the Familial Trust Children's Group when he was 15. This is a group for young children who experience difficult family circumstances with addiction issues.
Cameron has used his past family experiences to help other young people. He teaches these young children how to make positive decisions at school and at home.
