WELCOME TO THE R.O.C.K.S Group

Addiction is a disease that affects the whole family. Often, children from addicted homes have difficulty having fun and being playful and take themselves too seriously. Our group provides a safe place for children affected by another family members addiction to come along and have fun.

Children growing up in families struggling with addiction learn three unspoken rules: Don’t Talk * Don’t Trust * Don’t Feel There are no secrets in our group.
Children know they are there because they are from a family affected by addiction and know that all the group leaders have parents who have lived with addiction. This supports our belief of children being able to identify with the group leaders.

Rules & Agreement

We have two rules at ROCKS and these are in place to ensure the children’s safety.
1) No violence
2) No leaving the premises without an adult

We also have a group code of conduct that all group leaders and children attending agree to. *Any act of violence will result in the child responsible being removed from the group for that week. They are welcomed back the following week on a clean-slate basis.
