About Cameron

Familial Trust - Board of Trustee’s Chairperson

Cameron came through the doors of the Familial Trust in 2007. As a young person, he sought support to understand what impact addiction had made on his life.

It did not take him long to see the value and importance of a service like the trust, and over 10 years Cameron volunteered for the trusts childrens’ group, assisted in small fundraisers anc contributed to the consumer group. In 2014, Cameron was asked to join the BOT to bring stronger youth representation onto the board.

Bringing strong and focussed leadership experience from the public, private and non-profit sector; managing large teams and significant funding contracts, Cameron is well placed to lead the trust as Board Chairperson.

Past roles include: Youth Advisor to the Ministry of Youth Development, Manager of the Youth Development Services at the YMCA, Residential Assistant Manager for the University of Canterbury.
