About Margs

Kia ora, I’m Margs, I am a Peer Support Kaimahi here at Familial Trust.

I have lived in Christchurch all my life.

I have the privilege to have worked in both residential settings and out in the community in the Mental Health and Addiction field for many years.

I have my Level Four Cert in Mental Health and Addiction Support,  as well as Intentional Peer support training.

I enjoy advocating, networking, and meeting Peers from all walks of life. I have a lot of compassion and empathy for whanau who are struggling.

I use my own lived experience of Mental Distress as a strength. I believe that the Power of Peer Support is life changing, that connection brings hope and understanding.
